The hotel was very clean, and we loved a FANTASTIC location. We would stay here again when visiting Quito.
It was a lovely property. Displays of antiques, original art and a stunning architecture. Well located near the center of the old town with its plazas, shops, museums and restaurants. Comfy beds, very clean and secure. Free computer use.
The desk clerk acted like a real snob. We were in Quito for two weeks including a stay in a much cheaper hotel and had interactions with dozens of locals and we were never treated like this guy treated us. Today when we went to pay our bill he short changed us by $10. Everything he did for us, whether calling a taxi, putting our luggage in storage until our flight, was done with a begrudging attitude. It really put a damper on our stay there. I would not recommend this place for that reason alone.
Good location Very pleasant Rich breakfast Clean and comfort Hospitality
The wifi connection was bad but after we changed rooms it's ok
Front desk clerk was very helpful in finding a late night dining location, calling a cab, and then meeting the cab to make certain he knew where to take us. Very accomodating for our short stay due to flight times.
I do not feel that it is very safe to leave the hotel.
Good value for money. Staff quite helpful and breakfast was also good
The Old Town location is somewhat dead at night. Hard to find food past 7.30pm.
Great location, comfortable hotel, great breakfast, free bottled water, big room.
My room only had a window onto an internal courtyard and there is no gym - otherwise the hotel was great.
Clean rooms, no noise, helpful hotel staff (setup breakfast for us one hour early so we could eat before flying)
The hot water in the shower was sporadic and intermittent.
Beautiful interiors; close to plaza and shopping.
A little noisy
The facilities are very good. There is free drinking water, cable TV, wifi which is accessible throughout most of the 2nd floor where we stayed. The staff are also very good at their job.
The cable TV wasn't working a lot of the time. The staff, while very efficient, are not the warmest. However, they did always get the job done.
This hotel is a perfect choice to visit Quito old city. It is very close to the Plaza Grande (Cathedral, Presidential Palace) and all colonial churches and cloisters, some of them are the best preserved Spanish barroque churches built during the xvi and xvii centuries. The hotel premises are a nicely renewed colonial building. The view from the breakfast site is superb. Breakfast is simple but food served is very good quality one. Natural fruit juices are prepared right before being served.
Due to a electricity shortage that affected the computer systems while we were temporarily out of the hotel visiting the city, our room was assigned to other guest. We came back before the fault could be noticed so we found a lady unpacking her luggage in our room.
The hotel is within walking distance to the historical center. There are many inexpensive restaurants with good food. Shopping is nearby and even a small market. My room was clean and quiet.
The hotel is ok , the staff are not interested and the area is very dangerous you must be careful going out alone and dont wear watches or carry bags
Its on different levels and if your disabled then forget it
They kept our suitcase between two stays.
Rooms give onto an inner courtyard so you can't leave windows open.
Hotel was very clean. The reception staff was very helpful. Breakfast room has a beautiful view of the statue on top of the mountain.
Hotel was noisy due to the hard surfaces of the building, and the design of the building. The lobby and center of the building are open to the rooms above.
